BIO

LAUREN NICHOLS is an Executive Producer and Founder of Melbourne-based production company, Pork Store Productions. With experience spanning commercial, creative, and scripted and non-scripted productions across both long and short formats, Lauren brings a strong blend of creativity, strategy, and production expertise to her work.

Upon completing a Master of Communications at RMIT, Lauren moved to New York to work across advertising and marketing before returning to Melbourne in 2018 to take on the role of Business Director at The Shannon Company – overseeing the strategic and creative delivery of campaigns across a wide range of clients and production scales.

In 2021, Lauren transitioned into full-time freelance production, drawing on her agency background to produce music videos, TVCs, branded content, and short films. Her long-form screen credits include Production Coordinator on independent feature Time Addicts (winner of Best Australian Feature at Monster Fest) and Production Manager on Strange Creatures. 2023 saw Lauren produce the Screen Australia and ABC-funded Fresh Blood web series Urvi Went To An All Girls School, created by Urvi Majumdar and directed by Nina Oyama. The series was nominated for an AACTA Award and subsequently commissioned for a TV pilot, airing in April 2025.

Lauren was selected for Screen Australia’s 2025 Next Steps program as a Production Manager and is currently working on the Poster Boys documentary for Stan Australia alongside award-winning Director, Selina Miles. She continues to develop ambitious commercial and narrative projects through Pork Store Productions, with a growing slate of work in development.
